The pilot
Ten to twenty partners run one unit in a real property for sixty days, counted from the first observation.

The kit fee
The kit fee is $79 and it is refundable. It is charged because payment is the clearest signal of seriousness.
It is refunded in full on return of the device, on early exit, or without return if the pilot misses its own pre-registered bar. Refunds are made within five business days and the processing fees are absorbed. A unit that is kept applies the fee to pilot pricing.
What partners receive
- A prototype unit: a development board in a case, with a USB-C cable and a wall adapter, and the printed setup card.
- Their evidence account.
- A direct line to the founder.
- Pilot pricing locked in.
What partners are asked
the sixty days
- Keep the device plugged in.
- Share the booking calendar.
- Join three short calls, at weeks 2, 4, and 8.
- Allow anonymised results in company materials. Anything identifying requires separate consent.
- Add the disclosure to the listing before the device goes live. This is a condition, not a courtesy: the device is not activated without confirming the disclosure, and a pilot may be paused if the disclosure is removed.
The disclosure wording, in full:
This property uses a WiFi-based activity sensor. It has no camera and no microphone. It never records image, video, or audio. It measures how WiFi reflects off movement.
Workplace deployments disclose to staff.
What the unit can tell
Every sentence here is what the specification describes, at this place's current grant. A place running one development-board unit holds the grant: bands 0 / 1 / 2+, confidence tier single sensor.
- It tells whether nobody, one person, or two or more people are present, and nothing finer.
- It reads on one sensor, so a reading is not corroborated by a second device in the place.
A finer band, a corroborated tier, and a verified tier are each earned by the place's own evidence. Until a place's evidence supports one, nothing claims it.
What is experimental
Counting is experimental. It is not surfaced in the pilot.
What the unit is not
It is not certified hardware. It is not a security system.Detection is not guaranteed.
